but where do I start?
DEI can be such an activating and hot button issue in today’s context and it’s hard to know where to start. You could be in a leadership role wondering how your team can talk about race? Where do you even begin? Or maybe you’re at the point where a rupture has already happened and team members are looking for a facilitation of repair so you can grow beyond difficult moments.
You may not know where to go from where you are but we are here to help.
In all instances, team members need a baseline understanding of how larger systems are impacting and influencing day to day interactions as well as their own inner world. From this point of understanding, you can begin to engage yourself and understand how to truly step into a conscious relationship with another person, inviting your whole selves to the conversation.
Mira, a teacher, and Claudia, a therapist, came together because in working across differences we value bringing together the mind and body. Not only is it important to understand facts and information about our collective differences, but also understanding how each one of us meets ourselves in those differences. What do we do when we are unaware, uncomfortable, or hurt? How do we ask for what we need? How do we ask for advocacy, compassion, and forgiveness? How can we make space for trust, communication, and growth?
